Gross domestic product
Gross domestic product by industry from 1991 to today for the Federal Republic.
The chart is interactive and needs JavaScript.
What is measured
The gross value added of each industry (at current prices or price-adjusted, chain-linked, 2020 prices) plus taxes less subsidies on products: together, gross domestic product.
Limits of the data
- Chain-linked, price-adjusted values do not add up exactly; the chart shows the official total as a line and names the gap.
- The states’ figures come from another release (the Länder accounts) and are never combined with Eurostat’s figures for Germany.
- The sections start in 1995; before that only the sectors.
