What is measured
New orders received by manufacturing, price-adjusted (volume index, 2021 = 100), calendar and seasonally adjusted by X13 JDemetra+; in total, from Germany and from abroad, abroad split into the euro area and the rest of the world. Monthly, from January 1991.
Limits of the data
- Large orders, for aircraft or ships for instance, make single months jump.
- The seasonal adjustment is recalculated every month, so earlier figures can change slightly.
