Wind power
Installed onshore wind capacity in operation per resident, where the turbines stand. Offshore wind farms belong to no area on the map. Over time: the units in operation at the end of each year, the last point at the register’s newest state, per resident of 2023. The register began in 2019: turbines taken down before then are often missing, so the early years are too low (2000: about half of the wind capacity of the time, 2010: nine tenths; from 2015 nearly all).
